Please Take Time Today to Remember and Pay Tribute

ree

(November 11, 2024) Today is Remembrance Day, a special day in which we take time to remember those men and women who have lost their lives to help protect the freedoms we enjoy today. In two World Wars, the Korean War, the conflict in the Balkans, the war in Afghanistan and in other conflicts around the world more than 100,000 Canadians have paid the ultimate price.

Today is also a day for us to remember and honour all Canadians who have served in our Armed Forces and those who continue to serve in our Armed Forces and the RCMP today.

BC Métis Leader Clara Morin Dal Col says, “I salute all Veterans, including the thousands of Métis Veterans who have served our country. From the bottom of my heart I say thank you to each of you.”
